Mission Statement:
Our Mission is to break the stigma around substance abuse and mental health, and to educate on the relationship between them.
Our Goals:
Raise Awareness
-
Substance abuse disorder can stem from underlying mental health concerns that have gone untreated and unresolved.
-
Substance abuse disorder is a medical concern and shouldn’t be treated with the penal system but the medical system.
Support
-
We aim to support others in the position that Carolyn was in and also the friends and family of that person.
-
Support those struggling with their mental health and substance abuse.
-
Support the friends and families of the person impacted.
-
Providing resources on support groups and facilities to receive care.
-
End The Stigma
-
Let's start the conversation!
-
Talking about these items and normalizing them can reduce the stigma associated with substance abuse and mental health.
-
This can lead people to receiving the proper medical care that they need.
